Susan Taylor - Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer for Kanatek, Susan oversees Kanatek's client, partner and offering portfolios, and owns the associated business objectives including profitable growth. Susan is also responsible for day to day operations. Susan is an exceptional leader with twenty years of accomplished IT and business management experience in technology and financial services industries. Susan has a track record of providing outstanding client experiences while achieving operational excellence with her expertise in service and solution management. Business results reflect a refined ability to apply passion, leadership, collaboration and innovation.

Most recently Susan led Infrastructure Services from a Canadian Sales perspective for Canada’s largest IT services provider – CGI, creating a direct sales organization for an internally focused services business unit. She developed the national go to market strategy and implemented it, recruiting top industry professionals. Her approach focused on growth industry sectors such as financial services, health care, and government and increased the use of indirect channels to facilitate expanded opportunity. Results included the largest related opportunity pipeline associated.

Prior Susan had a ten year career with IBM Global Services, leading in all business units; Business Consulting, Infrastructure Services and Strategic Outsourcing aligned with the largest clients in both insurance and banking. Her experience included the MM$ P&L responsibility, and association with all business management functions; operations, sales/relationship management, and solution development (cross lines of business/geographies) and spanning infrastructure, application and business services. At one point Susan was responsible for the implementation of 140+ technology projects annually to meet client needs. Susan is a IBM certified Project Executive.

Susan has also held the role of VP, Strategic Initiatives with CIBC Mellon, reporting to the CEO. In this role she facilitated annual strategic business planning which led to identification and prioritization of enterprise strategic initiatives. She oversaw the execution associated with all strategic initiatives.

Susan regularly participates in industry forums as a keynote speaker and volunteers her time mentoring young professionals.
