February 10th, 2012 - Symantec Releases NetBackup 7.5, Kanatek COO Speaks At Release Event

Symantec recently released NetBackup 7.5 and Backup Exec 2012, the latest upgrades to their industry leading applications for Backup and Recovery.

New enhancements for both applications include deduplication and litigation enhancements, performance increases and platform compadibility updates. Most notably, the Netbackup suite received Symantec's V-Ray technology - a single solution for recovery, whether from tape, disk, snapshot, or cloud. The upgrade allows Netbackup to unify backup, deduplication, replication, snapshots, and appliances with support for VMware and Hyper-V.

At Symantec's Netbackup 7.5 release event, Kanatek Technologies' COO, Susan Taylor, joined a panel of industry experts and weighed in on the new release.
