| Data Assault Seminars
Kanatek Technologies Inc is hosting two seminars on data scalability, compliance and governance regulations.
Key note speaker is Peter Gerr, an analyst with Boston-based Enterprise Strategy Group who will be giving his perspective on data governance, compliance and the changing ways that North American organizations have to manage and archive their data.
Other speakers include: Gerry Gaetz, Chief of Banking Operations, Bank of Canada; Michael P Sullivan, CIO, Entrust; Bernhard Mandl, Siemens Business Services; Bernadette Ishlan, Borden Ladner Gervais; and François Boucher, Bank of Canada. They will be presenting their own organizational experiences in this area.
The seminar includes a presentation by Dr Sean Egan who is leading a Kanatek-sponsored assault on Everest this spring. If he is successful in summiting Everest he will be the oldest Canadian to do so. The Toronto seminar includes a formal send-off for the expedition team by Ron Ellis (Toronto Maple Leafs No.6 and 72 Team Canada ) who will be presenting Team Canada jerseys to the team which will be worn as part of a unique hockey game on the Khumbu glacier on Mount Everest .
