Jim Dodgson, Vice President, Service Practices

As Vice President of Service Practices, Jim Dodgson has the responsibility for developing professional services practices that will enhance and grow Kanatek's offerings in project related professional services as well as ongoing managed services.

Mr. Dodgson joined Kanatek in January 2010, bringing with him 25 years of IT expertise, including significant success in radically optimizing global infrastructure costs through innovative use of applied technology.

Prior to Kanatek, Mr. Dodgson was a senior consultant to Vodafone for 2 years, where he was responsible for program managing Vodafone's global server and storage optimization program. Previously, Mr. Dodgson held numerous senior roles in Nortel's Information Technology organization, including director level global responsibilities for server and storage infrastructure, email, desktop, and eBusiness systems engineering. During his tenure with Nortel, he consistently delivered significant cost reductions, while improving service delivery through innovative process approaches.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Dodgson held numerous technical support positions at several large companies including, Northern Telecom, Canadian Pacific, and Kodak Canada. At each of these companies, he was a highly regarded, innovative contributor to project implementations and ongoing operations.
He is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelors and Masters of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering. Outside of work, Mr. Dodgson enjoys spending time with his wife and two children at the cottage, kayaking, fishing, and classic cars.
